A jack-o'-lantern granny square cardigan, designed in my Chicago studio and knit to order in black, cream, and burnt orange. It has the look of a vintage crocheted Halloween afghan, with the pattern knit directly into the fabric rather than crocheted, printed, or pressed on. Every pumpkin face and every granny-square border is structural knit, which is why it will still look like this after fifty washes.
★ KNIT IN, NOT PRINTED ON ★
Most Halloween sweaters are a printed graphic or a vinyl transfer sitting on top of the fabric. This one is jacquard knit. The pattern is built into the garment the same way the ribbing is built into the cuffs. It can't crack, peel, or fade, and it reads as a real sweater rather than a novelty tee with sleeves.

This is a knit sweater made to look like classic granny-square crochet. It is not hand-crocheted. It's machine-knit to capture that same nostalgic afghan texture, which means it holds its shape, wears evenly, and is ready to ship without a six-week wait.
